PESHAWAR: Students from various universities participating in the ISPR Summer Internship Programme visited the Headquarters Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North at historic Bala Hisar Fort in Peshawar, where they held an interactive educational session with Inspector General Frontier Corps KP North Major General Rao Imran Sarti.

The visit began with the students paying their respects at the Martyrs’ Memorial, laying a floral wreath and offering Fateha for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.

The students later visited different sections of the historic Bala Hisar Fort and were briefed about the history, traditions and sacrifices of Frontier Corps KP North in the defence of the country.

During the key interactive session, Major General Rao Imran Sarti discussed the prevailing security situation, ongoing counterterrorism efforts and the importance of civil-military coordination and cooperation.

The IG FC urged the students, particularly the younger generation, to play their role in countering fake news, false narratives and negative propaganda. He advised them to rely on research and verified facts instead of believing rumours circulating on social media.

Major General Rao Imran Sarti emphasised that informed and responsible youth can contribute significantly to Pakistan’s peace, stability and progress.

The students appreciated the visit and interactive session, describing it as a valuable opportunity to learn about the history of Frontier Corps KP North, its role in national security and the challenges facing the region.
