PESHAWAR : The Creative Art Association (Registered) has reorganized its Direction/Production Wing and constituted a new team comprising prominent artists, directors and producers.

According to a notification issued by the association’s central secretariat, the new team was constituted in consultation with the Executive Council and with the approval of the Central Chairman. Fahmid Khan, General Manager AVT Khyber Peshawar, has been appointed Convener, while Asif Khattak, Senior Producer Pakistan Television Peshawar, has been named Deputy Convener. Habib-ul-Nabi, Programme Manager FM Radio Pakistan Peshawar, will serve as Secretary.

Similarly, Ilyas Khan, Director/Producer/Actor, has been appointed Coordinator; Nasir Kamal, Producer Pakistan Television Peshawar, Joint Secretary; and Tariq Hussain Shah, Senior Producer Pakistan Television Peshawar, Secretary Research and Planning.

According to the notification, overall supervision of the Direction/Production Wing will be carried out by the association’s Vice Chairman, Ashfaq Toru.

The Creative Art Association said the purpose of the Direction/Production Wing is to provide an effective platform for artists, directors and producers associated with direction, production, scriptwriting, television, radio, film and other related fields. The wing will also highlight their professional issues and promote the creative and artistic work of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the national level.

The newly appointed office-bearers have been directed to formulate, through mutual consultation, a comprehensive roadmap, annual programme and plan for professional and creative activities of the wing and submit it to the central administration.

The notification, issued by the association’s Central General Secretary Ahmad Nawaz, stated that the new organizational structure has come into effect immediately.

The association expressed confidence that the newly formed team would strengthen coordination among professionals in the creative sector and contribute to providing greater opportunities and recognition to the artistic community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
