ISLAMABAD : Prominent lawyer Sardar Waqar Shehzad attended a reception hosted by the Embassy of Vietnam in Islamabad to mark the 81st National Day of Vietnam and extended his warm greetings to the government and people of Vietnam on the occasion.
The reception was hosted by Ambassador of Vietnam to Pakistan Pham Anh Tuan and Nguyen Bach Ngoc. The event was attended by diplomatic representatives from various countries, government officials, members of civil society, business leaders and friends of Vietnam.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Waqar Shehzad appreciated the growing friendly relations between Pakistan and Vietnam and emphasized the need to further expand cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, culture, diplomacy and other areas of mutual interest.
He said that enhanced bilateral engagement could create new opportunities for trade, investment and people-to-people contacts, while contributing to stronger relations between the two countries.
Sardar Waqar Shehzad also thanked Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan and the Embassy of Vietnam for the warm hospitality and gracious reception. A special cultural programme showcasing Vietnamese traditions was presented during the event, while traditional Vietnamese cuisine was also served to the guests.
The reception concluded in a cordial atmosphere, highlighting the spirit of friendship and mutual respect between Pakistan and Vietnam and the shared desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
