PESHAWAR: The third day of the opening round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I First-Class Cricket Tournament concluded with several impressive individual and team performances across the venues.

At Imran Khan Stadium, Peshawar, KRL gained a commanding 405-run lead over Ghani Glass in the second innings. KRL pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed four wickets in the first innings, playing a key role in restricting Ghani Glass.

At Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Kingsmen secured a 235-run first-innings lead over MIT Solutions. MIT Solutions’ Aaqib Javed was the standout bowler, taking six wickets for 79 runs. Following on, MIT Solutions reached 203 for five by the close of play, leaving them 32 runs behind.

At Diamond Cricket Ground, Islamabad, PTV gained a 196-run first-innings lead over OGDCL, with pacer Haris Rauf claiming five wickets. OGDCL, forced to bat again, reached 64 for three at stumps on the third day.

At Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, SNGPL managed a narrow 30-run first-innings lead against State Bank of Pakistan. In reply, State Bank opener Hasan Raza struck a brilliant century, helping his side establish a 160-run lead by the end of the day. State Bank’s Kashif Bhatti also impressed with six wickets against SNGPL.

Overall, the third day witnessed strong bowling displays from Haris Rauf, Aaqib Javed and Kashif Bhatti, while Hasan Raza’s century provided the batting highlight of the day.
