The second round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I First-Class Cricket Tournament got underway in four cities, with several experienced and international-level players featuring in action.
At the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Peshawar, Kingsmen Academy were bowled out for 215 runs in their first innings against OGDCL.
Kingsmen Academy captain Tayyab Arif led the batting effort with a brilliant century. He scored 105 runs, including 14 fours and three sixes, while Suleman contributed 33 runs.
OGDCL fast bowler Muhammad Amir Khan produced an excellent bowling performance, claiming five wickets.
In reply, OGDCL reached 57 for three at the close of play.
The match is being supervised by Imtiaz Iqbal and Imran Javed, while Iqbal Sheikh is serving as match referee. Noor Muhammad and Nadeem Akhtar are performing the duties of scorers, while Muhammad Haris is the media scorer.
At the Shoaib Akhtar Stadium, Rawalpindi, MIT Solutions produced a remarkable batting performance against KRL, reaching 476 for four in 87.2 overs.
Muhammad Farooq, Salman Khan Junior and Atiq ur Rehman scored centuries for MIT Solutions.
Opening batter Muhammad Farooq played a sensational innings, smashing 163 runs off just 99 balls, including 11 fours and 14 sixes. He completed his century in only 67 balls.
Farooq also created a record by hitting the most sixes by a Pakistani batter in a single first-class innings.
At the Diamond Cricket Ground, Islamabad, SNGPL were bowled out for 152 runs against Ghani.
Ghani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar Junior claimed five wickets, while Khurram Shahzad took four wickets.
In reply, Ghani finished the day on 192 for two after 41 overs, taking a lead of 40 runs.
Ghani opener Sharjeel Khan produced a magnificent innings of 156 runs off 120 balls.
At the Abbottabad Stadium, State Bank reached 278 for nine at the close of the first day against Kingsmen Academy.
Captain Ghazi Ghori and opening batter Hasan Raza scored half-centuries for State Bank.
