DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Funeral prayers for three officials martyred in the blast at the Darazinda Aman Mela joint check post were offered with official honors at Ejaz Shaheed Police Lines, Dera Ismail Khan.
The martyrs were identified as Customs Havildar Farman, Sepoy Usama and Rescue 1122 official Sharifullah, who lost their lives in the blast at the joint check post.
Commissioner Dera Division Daud Khan, Station Commander Brigadier Salman Adil Shah, Regional Police Officer Dera Ghulam Mubasher Maiken, DPO Dera Ziauddin Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Dera Hikmatullah, senior officials of Customs and Rescue 1122, security forces and police officers, as well as the heirs of the martyrs, attended the funeral prayers.
A police contingent presented a guard of honour and saluted the mortal remains of the martyrs. Floral tributes were also offered, while prayers were made for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for patience and strength for their bereaved families.
The participants paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs, saying that those who sacrifice their lives for the peace and security of the country are a precious national asset.
They said the sacrifices of the martyrs would always be remembered and would not go in vain, adding that the nation salutes all those who render services for peace and security.
