DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A special peace conference was held in Qila Chehkan, Dera Ismail Khan, in connection with Muharram-ul-Haram under the chairmanship of General Officer Commanding Al-Buraq Division, Major General Neknam Muhammad Baig. The conference was attended by civil and military officials, religious scholars, members of peace committees, media representatives, and civil society members. Addressing the gathering, Major General Neknam emphasized that Muharram is a sacred month, and maintaining sectarian harmony is a shared responsibility. He stated that Pakistan’s armed forces have achieved significant success in operations against the Khawarij (militant elements) and made it clear that terrorism will not be tolerated in any form. He further stressed the need to curb hate speech on social media, enforce the ban on entry of proscribed individuals, and ensure implementation of the 2009 peace agreement.
