DI KHAN: Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan, has achieved a significant international milestone by securing a place in the 801–1000 band of the World University Rankings 2027, marking an important achievement for the university’s academic and research profile.
According to the rankings, Gomal University secured an overall score of 36.4, including 19.6 in Teaching and 75 in Research. The achievement reflects the university’s continued efforts to strengthen academic standards, promote research activities and improve the quality of higher education.
The university’s inclusion in the global rankings is being attributed to the collective efforts of its faculty, officers, employees and students, as well as ongoing academic and research initiatives. The recognition has further enhanced Gomal University’s international profile and highlighted its research capabilities.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, expressing his commitment to further institutional development, said the university would give special attention to quality education, research and innovation to secure a more prominent position internationally.
He described the achievement as the outcome of collective efforts by the entire university community and reaffirmed that continued measures would be taken to advance the institution’s academic and research performance.
