TOPI, SWABI: Teachers’ Day was celebrated at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) with a special gathering to acknowledge and appreciate the dedication, commitment and valuable contributions of the Institute’s faculty.
Prof. Dr. Fazal Khalid, SI, Rector GIKI, joined the faculty members at the gathering, where teachers and the Institute’s leadership came together in a warm and friendly environment. The event highlighted the vital role of teachers in shaping the academic, professional and personal development of students and in preparing them to become competent and responsible engineers and future leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Fazal Khalid, SI, Rector GIKI, appreciated the faculty members for their continuous hard work, dedication and commitment towards providing quality education and mentoring students. He emphasized that the role of a teacher extends beyond classroom teaching, as teachers play an important role in building character, developing professional ethics and preparing students to contribute positively to society.
The Rector also acknowledged the efforts of faculty members in maintaining a supportive, disciplined and student-friendly academic environment at GIKI. He said that the dedication and guidance of teachers remain an essential part of the Institute’s pursuit of academic excellence.
In recognition of their services and dedication, Prof. Dr. Fazal Khalid, SI, presented shields to faculty members as a token of appreciation for their valuable contributions to the Institute and its students.
The gathering concluded with expressions of gratitude and appreciation for the faculty, reaffirming GIKI’s commitment to recognizing and supporting its teachers, whose efforts continue to play a significant role in shaping the future generation of engineers.
