PESHAWAR: Hamza Foundation Peshawar, in collaboration with the Muslim Students Federation (MSF), Islamia College Peshawar, organised a voluntary blood donation camp at Islamia College Peshawar, where 70 students donated blood for patients suffering from thalassemia and other blood disorders.

MSF Peshawar President Azlan Bacha, General Secretary Uzair Khan and their team extended full support in organising the camp and encouraging students to participate in the blood donation drive.

Hamza Foundation Peshawar Medical Director Dr. Tariq Khan visited students class-to-class and raised awareness about thalassemia prevention, the importance of screening and the need for Hb Electrophoresis testing before marriage. Students were also encouraged to donate blood regularly to help patients suffering from thalassemia, haemophilia and other blood-related diseases.

As many as 70 volunteer students donated blood, demonstrating their commitment to humanitarian service and support for patients in need.

Hamza Foundation thanked the Islamia College principal, Director Blood Society, faculty members and college administration for their cooperation and encouragement.

At the conclusion of the camp, Azlan Bacha was presented a special shield by Hamza Foundation in recognition of his social and welfare services and contribution to the successful organisation of the blood donation camp. Uzair Khan, other volunteers and participating students were also presented certificates of appreciation.

The organisers said that a single blood donation can give hope to a patient and urged people, particularly young people, to donate blood and help save lives.
