ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s participation in the World Tenpin Bowling Championship has become uncertain due to the non-release of funds by the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), according to the Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation.
The championship is scheduled to take place in Munich, Germany, from October 12 to 21, featuring players from around 48 countries.
Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation President Ijaz-ur-Rehman told the media that the PSB had not yet released funds required for the national team’s participation in the international event.
The four-member Pakistani squad comprises Ahmer Saldeira, Ghazanfar Bilal, Daniyal-ur-Rehman and Muhammad Mueez, who were scheduled to represent the country at the championship.
Teams from countries including the United States, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, China, Canada, France, the United Kingdom and several other nations are expected to compete for the world title.
