PROVINCE REPORT
PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) celebrated a “Day of Deliverance” under the leadership of Provincial Deputy General Secretary Malik Saeed Khan to mark the end of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A large number of PPP provincial leaders and party workers participated in the event. A rally was taken out, sweets were distributed and fireworks were set off as participants celebrated the occasion with enthusiasm.
Addressing the gathering, Malik Saeed Khan strongly criticised the former PTI provincial government, alleging that its 13-year rule had failed to deliver meaningful development and address public issues.
“PTI ruined the province during its 13-year rule. Apart from staging sit-ins, protests and rallies, what has it given to the people?” he questioned.
He said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa needed development, prosperity, employment opportunities and basic facilities, adding that political leadership should focus on public welfare rather than protests and confrontation.
Malik Saeed Khan emphasised the need to prioritise education, healthcare, economic improvement and development projects to improve the lives of the people.
He said the PPP had consistently struggled for democracy, constitutional supremacy and the protection of public rights, adding that the party leadership and workers would continue their efforts to promote public welfare and prosperity.
Commenting on the political situation surrounding the possible imposition of governor’s rule and emergency, he urged political forces to act responsibly and prioritise the broader interests of the people.
The event concluded with the distribution of sweets and fireworks. Party workers reaffirmed their commitment to the PPP leadership and pledged to continue their political struggle and public service.
