LAHORE: The Prime Minister(PM) Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday paid glowing tribute to Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) on the occasion of his 26th martyrdom anniversary,acknowledging his unmatched courage,patriotism and unwavering commitment to the defense of Pakistan.
In his message,the PM said, “Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed demonstrated extraordinary bravery and valour during the Kargil conflict,so much so that even the enemy could not help but acknowledge his fearless resolve.”
The prime minister emphasized that the Shaheed officer set an everlasting example of devotion to duty and love for the motherland, fighting without regard for his own life in the defense of Pakistan.“His sacrifice is a timeless symbol of loyalty and selflessness that will continue to inspire generations to come,”he added.
PM Shahbaz Sharif said that Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed,recipient of the highest military honour, Nishan-e-Haider, and his family are a source of immense pride for the entire nation. “I, along with the whole nation, salute the unwavering commitment of our brave soldiers who stand as the first line of defense for our beloved country.”
He said that the Pakistan Armed Forces have rendered eternal sacrifices in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the country.
