KOHAT: Chairman Public Safety Commission Kohat and Member of the Provincial Assembly Daud Shah Afridi has on Tuesday visited the proposed site for Dhoda/Khairmatoo Chowk on Indus Highway along with the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Akram Chitrali, area elders and authorities concerned of the National Highway Authority where they inspected the site for the construction of the proposed interchange.
On this occasion, they reviewed various aspects of the traffic system improvement, public convenience and regional development. MPA Daud Shah Afridi said that the construction of an interchange at Dhoda Chowk is the need of the hour because many dangerous accidents have been occurred due to the lack of an interchange in which many precious lives have been lost. The construction of an interchange at Dhoda Chowk is a long-standing demand of the people of this area.
Daud Afridi said, the interchange will prove to be an important project not only for Kohat but also for the surrounding areas and it will also improve transportation and eliminate daily accidents. He directed the concerned authorities to complete the feasibility report of the project at the earliest so that the construction process can be started.
Earlier, an important meeting was held in the office of the Deputy Commissioner Kohat regarding the Dhoda/Khairmatoo Chowk interchange, which was attended by the area elders and NHA officials. The meeting reviewed the construction of this interchange.
