WUM Strengthens Role in Empowering Women through Quality Education

MARDAN: Women University Mardan has achieved another significant milestone in its journey towards academic excellence. The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics (HND) has been formally accredited by the National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC), a body working under the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

The university received the official Accreditation Inspection Committee (AIC) report from NAEAC, confirming that the department meets the national standards for quality education and institutional infrastructure. This development is a reflection of the university’s firm commitment to quality assurance, transparent governance, and sustained academic development.

The accreditation process involved a comprehensive evaluation of the department’s academic programs, faculty strength, research activities, infrastructure, and administrative support. This collective achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of several university sections, including the HND Faculty, Registrar’s Office, Treasurer’s Office, Works Department, Admin Section, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), and the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC).

Notably, the efforts of Dr. Huma Naqeeb, Head of the Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics and her team, are deeply appreciated for her proactive role and leadership in preparing the department for the accreditation visit. Her dedication played a vital role in this success.

Under the visionary leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, Women University Mardan is progressing in a promising direction. The university continues to empower women through access to higher education, research opportunities, and leadership development. Heads of departments are actively engaged in advancing their disciplines and fostering academic growth.
