ISLAMABAD: Eng. Khurram Dastgir (MNA), former Federal Minister of Power, paid a visit to the Pakistan Baitulmal (PBM) Head Office in Islamabad, expressing admiration for the organization’s commitment to serving the underprivileged.

Upon arrival, DG PBM greeted Eng. Khurram Dastgir and presented him with flowers on behalf of MD PBM, Shaheen Khalid Butt. During his meeting with Eng. Dastgir, MD PBM outlined his vision to reform PBM in line with the principles of Hazrat Umer (RA) and the founding principles of Prophet Muhammad PBUH, emphasizing the organization’s mission to provide support to those in need.

MD PBM highlighted the organization’s rich history, founded in 1991 by Mian Muhammad Sharif, the late father of Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, with the noble objective of helping the poor and vulnerable segments of society.

DG PBM, Dr. Zeeshan Danish, and Mr. Qasim Zafar briefed Eng. Dastgir on the various initiatives undertaken by MD PBM and the charity services provided by PBM. Eng. Dastgir was impressed by the organization’s efforts and appreciated the vision of MD PBM, praising the team for their dedication to humanitarian work.

A group photo session followed, after which Eng. Dastgir, accompanied by DG and MD PBM, braved the rain to visit the PBM Facilitation Centre. There, he witnessed firsthand the organization’s commitment to serving the needy, as MD PBM provided financial assistance to deserving individuals, approving millions of rupees on the spot for patients and those seeking support facing difficult circumstances of life.

Eng. Khurram Dastgir expressed his admiration for PBM’s tireless efforts to make a positive impact in the lives of the underprivileged, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in building a compassionate society. He also gave a positive message for a Prosperous future of Pakistan.
