AIG Sonia Shamroz Khan Vows More Events for Police Well-being
Director Sports Applauds Team’s Efforts in Organizing Successful Event

PESHAWAR: On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, an inter-regional sports competition was organized in the name of Shahadai Police, in which teams from all seven regions of the provincial police, including DI Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Mardan, Hazara, Malakand and CCP Peshawar, participated and displayed excellent sportsmanship. In the above-mentioned sports, men’s and women’s competitions in football, volleyball and badminton were held, in which the finals of the football, volleyball and badminton men’s competitions were won by Malakand Region after displaying excellent sportsmanship.
While the final of the badminton women’s competitions was won by the Capital City Police Peshawar team.
On the occasion of the badminton final, AIG Establishment/Director Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Sports Board Sonia Shamroz Khan, AIG Gender Equality Anila Naz, SHO of Women’s Police Station Nadia Shaheen and other police officials were present and welcomed the participation and good performance of women police personnel in badminton competitions. On this occasion, Director Sports/AIG Establishment Sonia Shamroz Khan said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police will encourage women personnel to participate in sports.
On this occasion, Director Sports Sonia Shamroz Khan further said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Sports Board will take all possible steps to organize such events for the physical and mental well-being of police personnel.
On the occasion of the volleyball final match, Director Sports Sonia Shamroz Khan, SSP Operation Masood Ahmed, SP Headquarters Ali Gauhar, DSP Headquarters Wajid Shah RI Rehmatullah Khan welcomed Mohsin, son of Shaheed Constable Ehsan, as the chief guest. Family members of the martyrs participated in the matches of the event as special guests.
It should be remembered that DG Sports played a significant role in making this event a success, who provided playing fields as well as residential facilities for the players. Rescue 1122 teams were present at all times for medical first aid to the players.
Director Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Sports Board Sonia Shamroz Khan appreciated the role of her team, including Naeem Gul Incharge Sports, Asif Khan Assistant Incharge Sports, Akhtar Hussain Chief Organizer, Muhammad Tanveer Media Coordinator, Syed Hashmat Ali, Abid Ali, Zahid Jan, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Masood and Sher Wali Organizer, for organizing a successful event in a limited time and with hard work day and night.
