Calls for ensuring transparency and quality in all schemes

KOHAT: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law Aftab Alam Advocate along with Chairman Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat (WSSCK) and acting Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Saad inspected various projects of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Citizens Improvement Project (KPCIP), initiated in collaboration with Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Member of the WSSCK board Shakeel Ahmad Afridi was also present.

Officials briefed the minister Aftab Alam Advocate regarding ongoing projects, progress and other allied challenges, said in a press release here on Monday.

Officials told the minister that these projects were underway for citizen infrastructure improvement, provision of clean drinking water, effective sewerage system and environment-friendly citizen facilities.

Clean Water which drains from Sewerage Treatment Plan, for which water channels would be constructed to supply water Sheikhan and onward agriculture land on Pindi road.

The Minister expressed satisfaction over ongoing pace on all development projects, initiated under Citizens Improvement Programme.

However, he instructed authorities concerned to complete all projects in the stipulated period so that people can get benefits from them.

The Minister emphasized that transparency and quality must be ensured in all uplift projects.

This project has a milestone importance for the provision of citizen facilitation in Kohat city that would bring changes in lives of a large number of people.
