PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Housing Dr. Amjad Ali inaugurated the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign 2025 of the Housing Department by planting a sapling at High Rise Flats Hayatabad Peshawar site yesterday. DG Provincial Housing Authority and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
Dr. Amjad Ali was informed in a briefing that the Housing Department is taking steps to plant 2,250 fruit trees and 6,750 other trees during the ongoing monsoon plantation campaign in different housing schemes of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It was further informed that 2,350 saplings will be planted in Jalozai Housing Scheme, 450 in Malazai Housing Scheme, 150 in High Rise Flats Hayatabad, 2,850 in Hangu Township, 650 in Havelia Township Abbottabad, 2,000 in Mega City Nowshera, while 550 saplings will also be planted in Jarma Housing Scheme Kohat.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, Dr. Amjad Ali said that the public is actively participating in the tree plantation campaign, which is commendable. He said that planting more trees ensures environmental protection, while a green and clean environment also guarantees good health. Dr. Amjad Ali further said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Department is ensuring monsoon tree plantation campaigns in all its housing projects.
