ISLAMABAD: – An international motorbike rally promoting regional tourism, peace, and cultural integration was held today at PTDC headquarters, Kohsar Secretariat, Islamabad. This unique initiative has been organized with the support of the Embassies of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in Pakistan.
23-day motorbike rally organised by Globe Strainers will cover 5,000 km across Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, highlighting Pakistan’s gateway role to Central Asia.
On August 7, they will enter Uzbekistan via the “Hairatan” border crossing, and visit Termez, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Tashkent, before continuing on to Tajikistan.
In each city, the travelers will actively share their impressions on social media — highlighting Uzbekistan’s beauty, safety, tourism infrastructure, and the genuine hospitality of its people. The event was graced by:Mr. Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan – National Tourism Coordinator to the PM as Chief Guest. Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani – Secretary IPC, H.E. Mr. Alisher Tukhtayev – Ambassador of Uzbekistan, H.E. Mr. Saidjon Shafiev – Deputy Head of Mission, Tajikistan, Mr. Aftab ur Rehman Rana – Managing Director, PTDC.

This initiative marks a major step in promoting regional cooperation, cultural exchange, friendship and peace through tourism.
Ambassador Uzbekistan shared , ” On August 1, we officially launched the international motorbike rally “Central Asia Tour 2025” in Islamabad, which will follow the route: Pakistan – Afghanistan – Uzbekistan – Tajikistan.”
The rally led by Mr. Mukaram Tareen having 11 bikers, started its journey from Lahore on July 31 and will pass through Islamabad, Kabul, Dushanbe, Samarkand, Bukhara and Tashkent before returning to Pakistan on August 22, 2025.
