DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Malgari Wakeelan Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday condemned the unlawful and unjustified arrest of Advocate Murid Hayat, calling it a blatant violation of fundamental human rights and an attempt to silence a peaceful voice that has consistently spoken for justice, peace, and the rights of the Pashtun people.
In an official statement, the organization expressed deep concern over the arrest, describing Advocate Murid Hayat as a staunch defender of the rule of law, human rights, and social justice.
His detention, they said, sends a disturbing message to all those who believe in democratic values and the freedom of expression.
Malgari Wakeelan urged the concerned authorities to immediately release Advocate Murid Hayat and stop targeting individuals who are working within the legal framework for the betterment of society. They emphasized that such actions undermine the foundations of justice and democracy.
General Secretary Abdur Rahim Bettani Advocate reaffirmed the organization’s solidarity with Murid Hayat and called upon all legal and human rights organizations to raise their voice against this injustice.
