PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples Party Women Wing Vice President and Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ashbar Jadoon has strongly condemned India’s unilateral decision to revoke the special constitutional status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a historical injustice and open hostility.
In a statement issued on the occasion of August 5 — Istihsal Day, she said that the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A is not just a legal maneuver but an organized conspiracy to alter the demographic and religious identity of the region. “India’s real motive is to turn Kashmiris into a minority in their own land by settling outsiders and stripping them of rights,” she added.
She emphasized that the Kashmir issue is far beyond a territorial dispute — “It is about identity, culture, religion, and the freedom of an entire nation.”
Ashbar Jadoon further stated that the people of Kashmir have been deprived of their rights to employment, land, and citizenship, and India’s actions expose the colonial mindset that continues to oppress and silence Kashmiri voices.
She reiterated Pakistan People’s Party’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri struggle and urged the international community to break its silence on India’s ongoing violations of international law and human rights in the region.
