PESHAWAR: The annual elections of the Liaqat Bazaar Traders Association in Peshawar’s historic commercial hub concluded successfully, with Jehangir Ghufran elected as Chairman and Nadeem Khan Yousafzai chosen as President.

A formal oath-taking ceremony was held for the newly elected cabinet, with former Provincial Sports Minister Syed Aqil Shah as the chief guest. He administered the oath and extended his best wishes to the new leadership for serving the trader community effectively.

Speaking to the media after the oath-taking ceremony, President Nadeem Khan Yousafzai pledged to provide a conducive business environment and resolve the traders’ problems on a priority basis.

He highlighted key plans, including launching a comprehensive cleanliness drive and installing a modern drainage system in collaboration with municipal authorities and the Cantonment Board.

Liaqat Bazaar plays a vital role in Peshawar’s economy. We are determined to fulfill our commitments to improve facilities, which will not only address traders’ challenges but also create a better environment for consumers, ultimately boosting overall economic activity in the city, said Nadeem Khan Yousafzai.
