Dera Ismail Khan: The “Independence Day Cricket Tournament” organized by the Pak Army was held at the Dera Ismail Khan Cricket Club, which started from August 7 and ended with the final match on August 8. The aim of the event was to provide healthy entertainment to the youth, promote national unity and spread the message of brotherhood for peace and prosperity. UFSC team, Youngster team, Pasha XI, Burki Country team, Desert Hawks and Faisal XI participated in this tournament. In the first semi-final, Pasha XI defeated the Youngster team and made it to the final, while in the second semi-final, Faisal XI defeated the Burki Country team with excellent performance. In the final, there was a thrilling match between Faisal XI and Pasha XI, in which Faisal XI won brilliantly and took the title. An interesting coincidence was that the captain of the winning team was also named Faisal, who brought success to the team with his excellent leadership and excellent play. In the tournament, Faisal XI won the first position, Pasha XI won the second position, Youngster Cricket Club won the third position, Desert Hawks won the fourth position, Barki Country Team won the fifth position and UFSC team won the sixth position. Mustafa of Faisal XI was declared the “Winner of the Match” for his excellent batting and all-round performance in the final. The special guest of the event, Commandant 38 Cavalry Desert Hawks Colonel Qaiser Malik, gave away prizes to the winning team and encouraged all the players. A large number of cricket fans participated in the event and interesting matches were witnessed in a pleasant atmosphere. Local and military authorities expressed their determination that such activities play an important role in positive thinking, national harmony and the development of sports.
