PESHAWAR: The Junior High Performance Tennis Camp, organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tennis Association, is in full swing at the Peshawar Sports Complex. Yesterday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Secretary Muhammad Khalid Khan visited the camp and met with the young players.
On the occasion, Provincial Tennis Association Chairman Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir, Senior Vice President Malik Umar Ayaz Khalil, and coaches Aam Gul, Roman, Noman, Shahryar, Shahid Afridi, Israr Gul, Lawyer, along with Davis Cupper Barkatullah, Saqib Umar, and Hamza Roman were present. The camp features national and international players from the province.
Notable participants include Pakistan No. 1 U-12 Muhammad Shayan Afridi, Pakistan No. 1 U-14 Muhammad Junaid Khan, and top U-14 players Waqas Khan, Ayan, Zohaib, Samar Gul, Abdullah, Hassan, and Junaid, all receiving training from Level Two qualified coaches.
Secretary Education Muhammad Khalid Khan assured full cooperation with the association for the promotion of tennis in KP and announced the inclusion of tennis in the annual sports calendar for all educational institutions at the grassroots level.
