JAMRUD After the FATA merger, land disputes have intensified, with opponents encroaching on each other’s land. The affected family has decided to pursue legal action.
A land dispute has escalated between two factions of the Fatmi Khel tribe in Jamrud after the FATA merger. The dispute centers around the ownership of land, with one faction allegedly trying to encroach on the other’s property.

Engineer Akhtar Sher Afridi, Ashiq, Siraj Gul, and other family members held a press conference at the Jamrud Press Club, denying allegations made by Muhammad Ali Shah, the head of Fatmi Khel tribe. They claimed that a settlement had been reached in 2020 regarding a dispute over the 6th and 7th Father ( plaars) , and that Muhammad Ali Shah’s claims were baseless and motivated by personal interests.

Akhtar Sher Afridi challenged Muhammad Ali Shah to approach the government and hold a jirga to resolve the issue. He stated that if he is proven wrong, he will accept the outcome according to tribal customs, but if Muhammad Ali Shah is found guilty, he should apologize and perform “nana wati” according to tribal traditions.

The affected family has decided to file a case under the PECA Act against Muhammad Ali Shah for making false allegations in the press conference.
