ISLAMABAD, May 29 : Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday attended an exhibition hockey match held at Naseer Bunda Stadium to celebrate the success of Pakistan Army’s Operation Bunyan Marsoos.

The President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti, was also present at the event.

The match featured two teams comprising players from Pakistan’s national hockey squad. Organized as a symbol of peace and stability in the country, the event aimed not only to honor the success of the military operation but also to encourage youth participation in healthy activities.

Addressing the ceremony, Governor Kundi praised the Pakistan Army’s sacrifices in establishing peace across the country.

He highlighted the significant role of operations like Bunyan Marsoos in eradicating the menace of terrorism from its roots.

“Sports convey a message of peace, brotherhood, and unity. Events like these inspire hope in the younger generation,” he said.

At the conclusion of the match, the Governor distributed prizes among the standout performers and congratulated the organizers on successfully hosting the event.
