Large Quantities of Ice and Charas Seized; Multiple Smugglers and Dealers, Including Woman, Arrested

PESHAWAR: Under the provincial government’s zero-tolerance policy against narcotics and in line with the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan, the KP Excise Department carried out four major operations in Dera Ismail Khan, Malakand and Mardan, successfully targeting drug dealers, smugglers and their facilitators.
During these operations conducted at different locations, the department recovered significant quantities of charas and ice, while multiple suspects, including woman were arrested and cases registered.
According to official figures received from the Excise Department, in Dera Ismail Khan, SHO Hizbullah Khan, under the supervision of Circle Officer Nasrullah Khattak, recovered 439 grams of charas during an operation on Dera–Daraban Road and arrested three suspects.A case has been registered at the Excise Police Station DI Khan.
In another successful action in DI Khan, In-charge Inspector Muhammad Ilyas, under the supervision of ETO Faheem Nawaz Khan, recovered 2,000 grams of ice from vehicle number FDW 2233 during a raid at the joint check post at Amun Mela. A woman among three individuals was arrested, and a case was lodged at the Excise Police Station.
Meanwhile, in Malakand, SHO Azlan Aslam, under the supervision of Circle Officer Aqif Nawaz Khan, arrested Shah Hussain, son of Khan Bahadur, with the support of Malakand Levies. The accused had injured an Excise Constable and escaped during a raid on 14 November 2025. He was previously found in possession of 261 grams of ice in case No. 10/25. During interrogation, the accused also disclosed the name of his relative, Syed Nawab, against whom five narcotics-related cases are already registered.
In Mardan, SHO Imad Khan, assisted by a lady constable, conducted a successful intelligence-based operation on Mardan–Charsadda Road and recovered 500 grams of ice from a woman smuggler. The accused was arrested on the spot and a case was registered.
It is pertinent to mention that the Excise Department continues its province-wide crackdown on drug dealers, smugglers and facilitators, ensuring strict enforcement of the government’s zero-tolerance policy against narcotics.
