After completing the collection of evidence and fulfilling legal requirements, a formal case FIR No. 30 dated 27-11-2025 was registered under Sections 364-A/34 PPC at Ghiljo Police Station.
During the course of the investigation, the skeletal remains of a minor girl were recovered from a mountainous area of Upper Ghiljo. Given the gravity and sensitive nature of the case, a special Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was constituted under the direct supervision of the District Police Officer (DPO) Orakzai. The team comprised investigation, technical, and intelligence officers, who conducted the probe on modern and scientific lines, leading to the collection of crucial evidence.
The investigation revealed that the prime accused, Zeena Gul, in collusion with his accomplice Ehsan, had planned the abduction, while Fazal-ur-Rehman alias Roman was involved as a facilitator after being lured by financial incentives. The accused abducted the innocent child and confined her at a secret location in a mountainous area, where she was kept unconscious through the use of intoxicating substances.
Further investigation disclosed that the child’s condition deteriorated during captivity, and due to the extreme brutality of the accused, she could not survive. In an attempt to conceal the crime, the accused buried the child’s body at a deserted location and tried to destroy evidence. However, due to the professional and scientific investigation conducted by the police, the case was taken to its logical conclusion.
The recovered skeletal remains were sent to the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA), Lahore. The DNA report subsequently confirmed that the remains belonged to the abducted child, Muqaddas.
Acting on intelligence-based information, the district police carried out effective operations and arrested all four accused involved in the incident. On the identification of the accused, the victim’s clothes and other important evidence were also recovered. The police have obtained physical remand of the accused from the competent court for further investigation, with the aim of exposing all individuals involved in this heinous crime.
The district police assure the public that all possible legal measures are being taken to ensure justice for the innocent child and to award exemplary punishment to all responsible culprits in accordance with the law.
