SHANGLA:Tragedy struck Shangla as two young men lost their lives in separate coal mine accidents. Their bodies were recovered and transported to their native villages, where mourners bid them a sorrowful farewell. The first incident occurred at the Chapar Meshti Coal Mine in Orakzai Agency, where Sher Zaman, son of Karwany from Banjaar, Alpuri Tehsil, became trapped due to a mine collapse. Despite intense rescue efforts, it took 20 hours to retrieve his body. The second fatal accident took place at the PMDC Coal Mine in Balochistan, where Akbar Ali, son of Abdul Razzaq from Bela Peer Abad, Shangla, tragically fell into the mine and lost his life. Following funeral rites, both victims were laid to rest in their ancestral villages, with hundreds of grief-stricken individuals paying their final respects.
