DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Under the leadership of Deputy Director Halal Food Authority Dera Sajjad Ahmed, Food Safety and Halal Food Authority and Livestock Department Dr. Najeeb raided a warehouse in Topanwala Bazaar in Dera city on a tip-off. During the operation, 1550 kilograms of unhealthy Sri Paye worth lakhs of rupees were recovered, which were confiscated and disposed of by throwing them into the Indus River. According to sources, these Sri Paye were supplied to Dera Ismail Khan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Lakki Marwat and Bannu, posing serious risks to public health. The butcher concerned has been summoned to the Halal Food Authority office for further legal action. Deputy Director Halal Food Authority Dera Sajjad Ahmed said that strict action will continue against those who play with human health and such actions will be taken indiscriminately in the future as well. The public and business circles have appreciated this timely and successful action of the Halal Food Authority and paid tribute.
