PESHAWAR: The Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in collaboration with a social organization, successfully concluded a transformative 5-Day Leadership Camp for orphan children, known as “Shining Stars”,in the scenic valley of Batakundi at Naran.
This unique initiative aimed to equip vulnerable youth with essential leadership qualities, spiritual grounding and civic responsibility.
The camp featured a dynamic mix of spiritual enrichment sessions, leadership training modules and competitive events such as Naat, Azaan and speech contests to boost confidence and public speaking skills among participants.
Among the camp’s most memorable activities was the Trek to Lalazar, which instilled values of teamwork, endurance and a love for nature.The participants also actively took part in a Clean and Green Pakistan Drive, reinforcing the importance of environmental responsibility and collective ownership of national causes.
The Leadership Camp stands as a testament to the Directorate’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, especially for those from underprivileged backgrounds. It provided an inspiring and safe space where orphan children could discover their potential and embrace their identity as valuable contributors to society.
Regarding the camp, Director Youth Affairs Dr. Noman Mujahid, remarked that this camp was not just a recreational retreat but it was a purposeful journey of healing, self-discovery and leadership.
He told that our orphan children, the Shining Stars, proved their resilience and brilliance.” Through such platforms, we aim to build a confident and compassionate generation ready to lead with values and vision”,Dr.Mujahid added.
He further emphasized the Directorate’s continued dedication to organizing inclusive, experience-based learning opportunities that reach the most deserving segments of youth across the province.
