PESHAWAR: A closing and certificate distribution ceremony of the Pre-Service Training Course for Assistant Engineers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Assistant Executive Engineers from Gilgit-Baltistan was held at the Pakistan Provincial Services Academy (PPSA), Peshawar. The ceremony was graced by Director General PPSA / PARD / NIPA, Captain (Retd.) Usman Gul, as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the participants, the Director General emphasized that integrity and a positive attitude are the core attributes of a responsible and effective public servant. He stated that while technical competence is important, strong character, professional ethics, and a spirit of public service define true excellence in public sector performance. He urged the engineering officers to uphold transparency, accountability, and honesty in the use of public resources.
The Director General highlighted that the pre-service training course was specifically designed for Assistant Engineers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Assistant Executive Engineers of Gilgit-Baltistan, with the objective of preparing them professionally, administratively, and ethically for their future responsibilities in public service.

On the occasion, Chief Instructor Mr. Taj Hameed presented the course report, outlining the training modules, academic activities, and overall performance of the participants. According to the report, a total of 73 officers successfully graduated, including 59 officers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 14 officers from Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Director General appreciated the untiring efforts of the PPSA faculty, resource persons, and administrative staff, noting that their dedication reflects the high standards and credibility of the Academy. He also thanked the concerned provincial departments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan for deputing their officers to PPSA, terming it a clear indication of their trust in the professionalism and training capacity of the Academy.
In his concluding remarks, the Director General expressed confidence that the trained officers would translate their learning into practice by demonstrating integrity, discipline, and improved performance in the field, thereby contributing effectively to quality public service delivery.
