JHELUM : Under the Chief Minister’s mission, Provincial Secretary Housing, Noorul Amin Mengal, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Jhelum, Mir Reza Ozgen, visited key ongoing development projects in the district. The visit focused on reviewing the progress of the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar (AZAG) housing scheme and various water supply and sewerage projects being executed by WASA.
During the visit, Secretary Housing Noorul Amin Mengal thoroughly inspected construction work at the AZAG site and reviewed the quality of infrastructure development. He also visited different WASA schemes and issued directives to upgrade the city’s drainage and water supply systems in line with modern standards to ensure sustainable urban development.
Emphasizing the directives of the Chief Minister and Deputy Commissioner Jhelum, it was stressed that all development projects must be completed within the stipulated timelines without compromising on quality. The Provincial Secretary stated that the Punjab government is making substantial investments to provide affordable housing and essential civic amenities to the public, adding that transparency, quality assurance, and timely completion of projects remain top priorities of the government.
He further directed the concerned departments to maintain close coordination and ensure strict monitoring so that the benefits of these development initiatives reach the people efficiently and effectively.
