ISLAMABAD : The German Embassy in Islamabad hosted a prestigious ceremony to celebrate German Unity Day, attended by diplomats, senior government officials, business leaders, and prominent members of civil society. The event commemorated Germany’s historic reunification and highlighted the longstanding friendship and mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Germany.
Sardar Waqar Shahzad Advocate, a distinguished lawyer from Swat, was among the invited guests at the prestigious gathering. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the German Ambassador and the people of Germany on their national day, conveying his best wishes for the country’s continued peace, prosperity, and progress.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Waqar Shahzad Advocate said that Germany’s reunification and its journey toward democracy, peace, and economic development serve as an important example for the world. He emphasized that Pakistan and Germany enjoy longstanding friendly relations, which could be further strengthened by expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, education, investment, and other key sectors.
He also appreciated the warm hospitality extended by the German Embassy and commended Germany’s role in promoting global peace, development, and international cooperation.
