PESHAWAR: Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahab Ali Shah, is presiding over the meeting of the Provincial Selection Board (PSB) held today in Peshawar. The board convened to review appointments, promotions, and postings of senior provincial officers across various departments, ensuring merit-based selections in line with government policies.

During the session, Shahab Ali Shah emphasized the importance of transparency, efficiency, and adherence to established rules and regulations in all decisions made by the board. He urged members to carefully consider the qualifications, experience, and past performance of officers to maintain high standards of governance in the province.

The Provincial Selection Board, consisting of senior bureaucrats and administrative officials, regularly evaluates proposals for promotions and appointments to ensure that competent personnel are placed in key positions to effectively serve the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting also reviewed pending cases and administrative reforms aimed at streamlining processes within the provincial administration. Officials highlighted the board’s role in strengthening institutional accountability and promoting a culture of professionalism across government departments.

The Chief Secretary concluded the session by underlining the government’s commitment to meritocracy and equitable opportunities for officers, ensuring that the province’s administrative machinery functions efficiently to meet public expectations.
