PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and CECOS University, Peshawar, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiatives for engineers, engineering students, and industry professionals.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at CECOS University, with the agreement signed on behalf of PEC by the Vice Chairman PEC (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), and by the Vice Chancellor of CECOS University on behalf of the host institution. The event was attended by Members of the PEC Governing Body, senior PEC officials, and faculty members of CECOS University’s Engineering Departments, reflecting strong commitment from both institutions toward professional excellence and capacity building.
Under the MoU, PEC and CECOS University will jointly organize CPD programs, including hands-on training sessions, workshops, seminars, and practical courses covering both emerging and conventional engineering domains. These initiatives aim to bridge the gap between academia and industry, promote modern engineering practices, and support lifelong learning in line with national and international standards.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman PEC (KP) highlighted that the collaboration reinforces PEC’s mandate to strengthen professional competence, innovation, and employability among engineers in Pakistan. He emphasized that partnerships with reputable academic institutions such as CECOS University are essential for delivering industry-relevant skills and knowledge.
The Vice Chancellor of CECOS University welcomed the partnership, reaffirming the university’s commitment to provide academic facilities, laboratories, and expert faculty to support high-quality professional development programs for the engineering community.
This MoU represents a significant step toward institutional synergy, contributing to human capital development, knowledge transfer, and the overall advancement of the engineering profession in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and beyond.
