Peshawar: On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Karwan-e-Hawa Literary Forum, a dignified and memorable ceremony was held at Ibadat Hospital, celebrating a decade of continuous hard work, perseverance, and intellectual contributions.
The ceremony was presided over by eminent writer Mushtaq Shabab. In his presidential address, he said that the lamp lit ten years ago has now transformed into a full-fledged caravan, guided and led by Bushra Farrukh. He added that women writers are playing a fundamental role in social and intellectual development, and such literary forums serve as a beacon of hope for society.
The chief guest, neurologist and literature enthusiast Dr. Khalid Mufti, remarked that creative expression is an effective source of mental peace and that literature brings balance and harmony to the human inner self.
The event was skillfully hosted by Dr. Sadaf Abrain. On the occasion, renowned actor Najibullah Anjum stated that strong acting is built upon strong writing. Well-known producer Aziz Jan and Khawaja Yawar Naseer emphasized that promoting quality literature to the masses through electronic media is the need of the hour.
AVT Khyber’s General Manager Jamshed Khan appreciated the literary services of Karwan-e-Hawa and assured that media can play a positive role in introducing quality literary works at the national level.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, souvenirs were distributed among the heads of various literary, cultural, and religious organizations. Those honored with awards included Dr. Fazal Kabir, Professor Aseer Mengal, Noshaba, Sajjad Orakzai, Rashid Sohail Paracha, Dr. Ejaz Khattak, Rubina Moeen, Thamama, Rukhsana Nadir, Dr. Roshan Karim, Dr. Shaheen Umar, Dr. Basmeena Siraj, Dr. Sadaf Anbareen, Dr. Saima Hashim, and Amjad Hadi Yousafzai, among others.
A large number of literary and social personalities from the city attended the ceremony and paid glowing tribute to Karwan-e-Hawa’s ten years of literary services.
