CHAKDARA: The newly elected cabinet of Chakdara Press Club, led by President Muhammad Jalil, held a formal meeting with the Vice Chancellor of University of Malakand, Professor Dr. Rashid Ahmed, at his office.
The meeting took place in a cordial and academic atmosphere, where detailed discussions were held on matters of mutual cooperation, educational development, the role of journalism, and the promotion of regional harmony.
The Press Club delegation comprised Chairman Muhammad Israr, General Secretary Noor Fakir, Vice President Abdul Rahim, Joint Secretary Ahmed Shah, and Finance Secretaries Javed-ur-Rehman, Mazhar Hussain, Alamgir Umarkhel, and Mohsin Khan.
On the occasion, President Muhammad Jalil and Chairman Muhammad Israr emphasized the need to further strengthen constructive relations between the university and the local journalistic community. They noted that educational institutions play a pivotal role in the intellectual and moral development of society. They assured the Vice Chancellor that the university’s positive initiatives, research contributions, and student achievements would be highlighted through responsible and objective journalism.
Welcoming the delegation, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rashid Ahmed stated that the university is making consistent efforts to enhance academic standards, promote research culture, and equip students with education aligned with contemporary requirements. He remarked that the media serves as an effective instrument for raising awareness and fostering positive change in society, and therefore, collaboration between the university and the Press Club is essential.
He further affirmed that transparency, merit, and continuous improvement in the education sector would remain top priorities, adding that all necessary measures would be undertaken to advance higher education in the region.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to promote mutual solidarity, academic and social harmony, and to organize joint programs in the future. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen communication and continue collaborative efforts for the educational and social development of the region.
