Islamabad: Pakistan’s rising squash talents, the Ali sisters, have made the nation proud by advancing to the quarterfinals of the German Junior Open Squash Championship 2026.

Mah Noor Ali and Sehrish Ali delivered commanding performances in Round 2 of the prestigious international event.

Mah Noor Ali outclassed Rafaela Guidoni in straight games with an impressive 11-4, 11-4, 11-7 victory. Meanwhile, Sehrish Ali dominated Neriah Sastre with a convincing 11-6, 11-2, 11-2 scoreline to secure her place in the quarterfinal stage.

In the upcoming quarterfinal matches, Mah Noor will face a strong Egyptian opponent, while Sehrish is set to compete against a German challenger as they aim for semifinal berths.

It is worth noting that their third sister, Mehwish Ali, was also scheduled to represent Pakistan in the German Junior Open. However, despite recently winning the National Women’s Junior Squash Championship, she was unable to participate. While traveling from Rawalpindi to Peshawar to catch her flight, she was delayed due to sit-ins and road blockages in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and unfortunately missed her departure, depriving her of competing in this important international tournament.

The outstanding performances of the Ali sisters once again highlight Pakistan’s emerging strength in junior squash at the international level.
