Rawalpindi:Political and social leader Chaudhry Inaam Zafar said that instead of providing relief to the common man in the budget, already benefited ministers were rewarded, while the small increase in salaries and pensions of government employees in proportion to inflation has made the life of the common man more difficult. Budget policies will increase inflation, the entire burden of which will fall on the common citizens. It has already become impossible for the people to live before inflation. If the government does not review its policies, then the government will be unable to handle the tsunami of the people of Pakistan.
Awaam Pakistan Party leader Chaudhry Inaam Zafar, while commenting on the budget for the financial year 2025-26, said that the common man was not given relief in the budget, while the privileges of ministers were further increased. Instead of increasing the salaries of government employees in line with inflation, only a ten percent increase is like a cumin in the mouth of a camel. The same injustice was done to pensioners. As always, promises were made to the public in this budget to make electricity cheaper and reduce inflation. He further said that a carbon levy of Rs 2.5 per liter will be imposed on petrol, high-speed diesel and furnace oil, which will be increased to Rs 5 per liter next year. While the sales tax rate on all vehicles using petrol or diesel, including hybrid cars, has been increased to 18 percent. After which, inflation will increase further, the direct burden of which will fall on the common man. Ch Inaam Zafar said that Expensive electricity and additional bills have made the life of common citizens more miserable. After which it has now been proposed to increase the tax on imports of solar panels from 17 percent to 18 percent. That is, instead of providing relief to the people, resources have been further restricted. Over time, more effects of the budget will be visible on the people. The people are already disappointed with the government. Chaudhry Inam Zafar said that the Awaam Pakistan Party will solve the problems of the common people after coming to power. It is the right of the people to benefit from government resources, which will be made available to them.
