ISLAMABAD: Vladimir Putin has extended warm greetings to Muslims in Russia and around the world on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In his message, President Putin highlighted that Eid-ul-Fitr symbolizes believers’ aspirations for moral excellence, mercy, and compassion, reflecting the enduring values of Islam. He noted that for centuries, the festival has held deep spiritual and cultural significance.

The Russian president praised Muslim communities for preserving their historical and spiritual traditions, adding that the occasion is widely celebrated through family gatherings and community events. He also acknowledged the growing tradition of organizing charitable, cultural, educational, and children-focused activities during the holy month.

Putin commended Muslim organizations for their role in strengthening family values and youth development, as well as their engagement in constructive dialogue with state and public institutions. He recognized their contributions to patriotic, educational, and humanitarian initiatives.

He further expressed special appreciation for Muslim servicemen involved in defending Russia, along with those supporting the families of soldiers.

Concluding his message, President Putin wished Muslims good health, success, and happiness on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
