Dera Ismail Khan: Pakistan Day, observed on March 23, was celebrated in Dera Ismail Khan with great national spirit, enthusiasm, and devotion. The day began with special prayers offered in mosques for the country’s peace, progress, and prosperity.

The main ceremony was held at Attaf Shaheed Park, where the Guest of Honour was Major General Mudassar Saeed, General Officer Commanding Al-Barq Division. The event was attended by military officials, district administration, police officers, members of the peace committee, political and social figures, and journalists in large numbers.

During the ceremony, floral wreaths were laid at the martyrs’ memorial, paying rich tribute to the heroes of the nation. Addressing the gathering, Major General Mudassar Saeed stated that March 23 is a day of sacrifices, unity, and renewed commitment. He emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of martyrs and urged the youth to actively contribute to the country’s development and stability.

He further added that strict security arrangements had been ensured, and all institutions, including the police, remained on high alert to provide a peaceful environment for the public.

Citizens also expressed their love for the country with great enthusiasm, chanting slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad.” At the conclusion of the ceremony, Major General Mudassar Saeed met with soldiers and local elders, and a special prayer was offered for the safety and prosperity of the nation.
