Officials informed the meeting that the NID anti-polio campaign will begin from May 18 across the division, during which children will be administered polio drops.

The Commissioner instructed authorities to update all data, including micro plans, to improve future targeting and campaign effectiveness. He also reviewed the security arrangements and directed officials to ensure strict security at every vaccination center so that teams could perform their duties safely.

Health experts informed the meeting that although polio has been eliminated from many parts of the world, cases are still being reported in some areas of Pakistan, making vaccination essential. The Commissioner directed the Health Department and other institutions to reach every household and strengthen public awareness regarding the importance of immunization.
