Dera Ismail Khan: On the special instructions of Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Latif Gondal, a prestigious awareness seminar on Youth Empowerment was held in the main hall of the university. The event highlighted the role of the young generation in character building, positive thinking, leadership, education, research, and social development.

The special guests of the event were Commissioner Dawood Khan, Regional Police Officer Ghulam Mubashir Maken, District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed, and Secretary to Commissioner Sajjad Baloch. A large number of personalities from different walks of life, teachers, administrative officers, and students participated in the seminar.

On this occasion, the Controller of Examinations of the university Irfan Khan, Director Finance Iram Gul, Deputy Registrar Zeb Al-Qamar, Director Admin Farjat Sikandar Saduzai, along with chairmen of various departments, lecturers, and students, were also present in large numbers.

The speakers shared their views on the challenges faced by the youth, the requirements of the modern era, the importance of education and research, and the need for active youth participation in positive activities.

Manager ORIC Gomal University Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa said that youth are a valuable asset of any nation and their proper guidance is the guarantee of national development. She urged students to utilize their talents positively and focus on research, innovation, and social service.

Later, Assistant Professor Institute of Business Administration Gomal University Dr. Adnan Khan Marwat said that in the present era, youth should not limit themselves to degrees only, but must also focus on practical skills, leadership, communication abilities, and self-confidence to bring positive change in society.

Regional Police Officer Ghulam Mubashir Maken advised the youth to stay away from drugs, negative use of social media, and unnecessary activities, stating that the young generation is the bright future of the country and must play an active role in promoting peace, development, and positive social values.

Commissioner Dawood Khan, in his address, said that empowering the youth is the need of the hour. He added that educational institutions are not limited to providing education only, but also play a key role in personality development, training, and nurturing leadership skills among students. He appreciated the organization of such a meaningful and constructive program by the University of Agriculture, Dera Ismail Khan.

Registrar of the University of Agriculture, Abdul Basit Khan, gave a detailed briefing on the university’s overall development, ongoing construction projects, and administrative measures. He informed the guests about new and under-construction buildings, teaching facilities, research centers, laboratories, and modern student amenities.

He said that despite limited resources, the university is taking practical steps to improve the quality of education and provide infrastructure compatible with modern requirements. He added that upcoming development projects will further enhance the academic environment for students.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Latif Gondal, in his presidential address, said that the dream of development cannot be achieved without the mental, educational, and practical training of youth. He stated that the University of Agriculture, Dera Ismail Khan is taking strong steps to provide quality education and a modern learning environment.

He thanked all guests, speakers, and organizers for their participation. At the end of the ceremony, honorary shields and traditional ajraks were presented to the guests and speakers by the university.
