Peshawar: Certificates were distributed among male and female students who successfully completed various technical courses under the auspices of HEFA Foundation at the Institute of Health and Development Studies, Peshawar. On this occasion, Rawal Foundation was also formally inaugurated with the cooperation of Rawal General and Dental Hospital, Islamabad.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Khakan Waheed Khawaja, Chairman of Pakistan Awami Quwat and Rawal General and Dental Hospital, Islamabad. The event was also attended by Dr. Nisar Muhammad, Director of Rawal Foundation, Dr. Hussain Ahmed Haroon, Deputy Director, Fayyaz Khan Drani, Assistant Director, Chairman Life Foundation Hakeem Khan, along with a large number of students and other distinguished guests.
Addressing the ceremony, Khakan Waheed Khawaja, Dr. Nisar Muhammad and other speakers said that the purpose of establishing Rawal Foundation is to provide free technical training to poor and deserving youth of the province in various skills so that they can become capable of earning a dignified livelihood.
They said that under the foundation, training will be provided in tailoring, sewing and embroidery, beautician courses, e-commerce, artificial intelligence (AI), digital marketing and web development. They added that, like developed countries, these courses are being launched under micro-financing, which will help reduce poverty and unemployment in the region.
The speakers further said that due to current economic conditions, frustration and anxiety among youth is increasing, and a large number of young people are going abroad for employment. They stressed that providing modern technical education within the country can help make them self-reliant.
During the ceremony, students also delivered speeches, while certificates were distributed among participants who completed the courses and their teachers.
