Mardan: A Job Fair Open House 2026 was held at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, where former provincial minister and Member of the Provincial Assembly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zahir Shah Toru attended as the chief guest.
A total of 45 national and international companies from across the country participated in the event, while students set up 223 different project stalls.
During the job fair, various companies conducted interviews with students and issued job offer letters to eligible candidates on the spot.
Among the attendees were Ilyas Toru, Haroon Khan, representatives from various universities and colleges, faculty members, and industrial stakeholders.
In his address, Zahir Shah Toru announced a personal grant of one crore rupees for research at the university and encouraged students to adopt modern technology, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), to meet future challenges.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad stated that the university is making remarkable progress in academic standards and research development.
