DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A dignified farewell ceremony was organized in honor of former Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shakibullah at the University of Agriculture Dera Ismail Khan.
The ceremony was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Latif Gondal, while Registrar Abdul Basit Khan supervised the arrangements of the event.
Heads of various departments, faculty members, officers, and university employees participated in large numbers.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Latif Gondal paid tribute to Prof. Dr. Shakibullah for his valuable services toward the development of the university, improvement of educational standards, and administrative stability.
He said that under the leadership of Dr. Shakibullah, the university witnessed remarkable progress in institutional development, infrastructure improvement, and provision of facilities to students and employees. He added that various educational and administrative initiatives introduced during his tenure played an important role in strengthening the institution.
The Vice Chancellor further described Dr. Shakibullah as a sincere, visionary, and dedicated administrator who guided the university toward new avenues of development through his leadership and tireless efforts.
Speaking on the occasion, Registrar Abdul Basit Khan said that Prof. Dr. Shakibullah efficiently managed the university’s administrative affairs and took effective measures to address the issues faced by teachers, officers, employees, and students.
He added that Dr. Shakibullah promoted discipline, mutual respect, and a positive educational environment within the university, and that his services for the institution’s stability and growth would always be remembered.
In his farewell remarks, Prof. Dr. Shakibullah thanked the university administration, faculty, officers, and employees for their cooperation and support. He said that the University of Agriculture Dera Ismail Khan would always remain close to his heart and that he consistently worked for the institution’s development, promotion of quality education, and a brighter future for students during his tenure.
He emphasized that the progress of any institution is the result of collective efforts and expressed his continued affection and commitment toward the university.
At the end of the ceremony, university officials presented a commemorative shield to Prof. Dr. Shakibullah in recognition of his services. Special prayers were also offered for his health, success, and future endeavors.
