PESHAWAR: An awareness seminar on Thalassemia disease, its prevention and a blood donation camp was organized by the Hamza Foundation Welfare Thalassemia Hospital and Blood Transfusion Services Peshawar at KIMS Kohat. The event aimed to create awareness among students about Thalassemia and encourage voluntary blood donations for patients suffering from Thalassemia and Hemophilia.

A total of 83 healthy students donated blood to help save the lives of 1,565 registered Thalassemia and Hemophilia patients being supported by Hamza Foundation. The event was attended by students of SWS KIMS Kohat, including Muhammad Awais Khan, General Secretary SWS, and Muhammad Sadeed, Head Blood Wing. Resource Mobilization Officers of Hamza Foundation, Ateeq Ur Rehman and Ibrarullah Jan, highlighted the welfare services of the foundation and educated participants about Thalassemia major disease, its prevention and the importance of regular blood donations.

Teachers and students from different classes also participated in the seminar and appreciated the joint efforts of KIMS Kohat and Hamza Foundation for organizing the noble initiative. Shields and certificates of appreciation were distributed among teaching staff and students in recognition of their contributions. Founder Chairman of Hamza Foundation, Ijaz Ali Khan, thanked the management of KIMS Kohat for their sincere cooperation and support in making the blood donation camp successful.
