UPPER DIR :The District Youth Office Upper Dir, in collaboration with the District Administration and Directorate of Societies, organized a week-long training workshop on “Travel Guide & Hotel Management” at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal. The closing ceremony was held in the Main Academic Block.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief Sher Ali Khan and Murad Khan, District Project Manager SRSP, attended as chief guests. In his address, Sher Ali Khan said youth are a nation’s most valuable asset and guarantee of a bright future. He highlighted that students can earn a respectable income through professions related to travel guiding and tourism.
Dr. Wajid Raza conducted a comprehensive session on travel guiding, Dr. Fazal Haleem spoke on hotel management, and Dr. Juma Muhammad gave a detailed talk on eco-tourism. Nomi Khan provided guidance on domestic travel and registration procedures. Over 60 students received participation certificates.
The program’s core objective was to equip youth with professional skills in tourism and hotel management, enable them to access respectable employment opportunities, and effectively utilize their abilities to promote tourism activities in the region.
At the end, District Youth Officer Shehzad Tariq presented commemorative gifts to the chief guests and other notable participants.
